2014 Anime Retrospective, part 2 -- Spring

Hoo boy, spring season. You had a lot.

Spring is typically one of the two seasons where projects that people think will do better than others tend to get put out. Spring 2014 certainly had its fair share of hard hitters, but it had its own select set of misfires at the same time. There's a lot to talk about here so let's not waste any more time.

2014 Anime Restrospective, part 1: Winter

Are we here? Are we all still alive?

Good, I was worried there for a moment.

I figured that since it's been well over a year since my first completed, full article on this blog that I would kick things back into gear with posts summarizing my thoughts on each anime season in 2014. I'm hoping to get these blogs out every few days, and they'll only get more and more packed as each season goes on. Winter 2014 will be my shortest post as I am mostly opening up discussion of shows that I completed or are on my list of stuff to complete. With that out of the way, let's begin.

Winter 2014 was not the most-crowded of anime seasons, and many of its shows actually fell under the radar for me. Perhaps it was because this season happened when I was getting used to a new job, and thus was trying to balance out watching other stuff on my pile with being extremely exhausted after every new day at that temp job. Regardless, though, there was plenty to talk about, including two of the biggest hits of the year.

Oh. Whoops.

     So, this blog has been left to accumulate dust for awhile.  Sorry about that!

     Many things got in the way.  Between the holiday rush at where I was working at the time, getting a new full-time job, leaving that full-time job over half a year later, looking for work, and releasing music, I've found that writing new posts for this blog went onto the backburner.  Whoops.

Who are you?  What is this?  What?

     I'm glad to say that this blog will see more activity in general now, though, as I've been drafting up posts on the following things:

• Some anime OST analysis.
• Some anime series reviews.
• Notes about series of things that I've been introduced to over the past year or so.
• Video games?  V I D E O G A M E S.  And I mean just talking about games I've been playing.

And more.

     But yeah, keep an eye out on Twitter, I'll be posting new things within the coming weeks.

     I also mentioned that I've been doing music, and I've been commissioned to do soundtrack work!  I'll make posts about them on this blog when releases are available, such as the soundtrack to the browser game Morning Commute (link will happen when game goes public).  Soundcloud has the full streaming playlist, Bandcamp has the pay-what-you-want (starting at free) download!
