Plans/recent observations/90's viewing queue!

     Hello, guys!  Been awhile since my last update, I know (and I have no excuse other than perhaps the Steam summer sale and starting a new job).  I'm actually writing up a few (three!) blog posts right now, which are the following:

• How To Fix Blood-C
• OST review: Sankarea
• Series review: Kotoura-san

     Woo for a blog schedule!  The scattered posts will eventually come about, but the topics of them will definitely be aimed more towards my next topic.

Onto the next order of business after the jump~

     A bit of background: I'm a modern viewer.  I'm in my early twenties as of writing this, growing up primarily in the 00s (ages 9-19, oh dear).  Thus, most of my taste in anime was shaped by titles from this era.  I never wholly encountered older TV titles until later.  Thus, I'm fairly lacking in titles that I have actually seen from the 90's.  I have seen some of the classics (Revolutionary Girl Utena/The Adolescence of Utena, Neon Genesis Evangelion/The End of Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Perfect Blue, Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso, Cardcaptor Sakura), but it bothers me that an entire era of anime has swept right by me without me giving it a second glance.  So, to better understand my hobby a bit more, I'm going to be setting up a viewing queue of 90's anime that I might not have watched or have not watched in a very long time.

The list, so far, of titles I have not seen, is:

• The Vision of Escaflowne (note: I watched a few episodes when younger, remember fuck all about them)

• Macross Plus (OVA)

• Giant Robo
• Kite (note: I am fully aware of the content, and am trying to find the edited version if I can)

• Martian Successor Nadesico
• Crest of the Stars

• A Wind Named Amnesia
• My Neighbors the Yamadas
• Only Yesterday
• Ocean Waves
• Marmalade Boy
• Maison Ikkoku

     So, despite being rather long, this list is not complete (nor is it in order).  I just named a bunch of stuff I remembered off the top of my head.  In fact, I might revist some of the things I've actually seen from the 90's, as well, since it's been such a long time for everything (besides for Utena, which I watched last year).  What this has to do with the blog as a whole, though, is that I will be writing up blog posts on everything I'm watching!  They won't all be full reviews, but they may get a little rambly.  So please, some patience would be lovely as I watch more stuff and explore this awesome medium's history a bit.
